Caritas Housing

At the start of the new millennium, it became clear to us that more affordable housing was a key to serving people who’d been pushed to the margins of society. We now have more than 1,000 units of affordable housing across western Oregon.

Housing is a human right

We provide material supports wrapped in our suite of services to help those at risk of or experiencing houselessness

Shelter is a basic human need deserved by all. Explore our properties, view unit availability, and learn how you or your organization can partner with Catholic Charities to create lasting housing solutions for our neighbors in need.

Catholic Charities’ dedicated housing entity, Caritas Housing, began working in 1998 to acquire, develop, rehabilitate, and manage permanent affordable housing across the state for those in need of a home. We partner with property managers, contractors, project developers, funders, and our communities to create places for individuals and families to thrive, placing special emphasis on trauma-informed, equal opportunity projects.

Permanent Supportive Housing

Our collaborative, place-based approach creates greater access to permanent supportive housing that integrates health and wellness with on-site social services.

Community Revitalization

Catholic Charities has worked for more than 20 years to develop, rehabilitate, and manage a range of affordable housing communities across the state for those in need.
