News 10: Almeda fire survivors come together as two year anniversary approaches

Last weekend a group of Almeda fire survivors came together in Talent, Oregon almost 2 years after the devastating wildfire. While some have been able to rebuild, others are still feeling the impact of the wildfire’s destruction and continue to hold hope for things to get better. For those that lost their homes, their greatest challenge has been to secure affordable housing.

New residents will need supplies

In October, Catholic Charities of Oregon will welcome 142 households to their new homes at Good Shepherd Village apartments in Happy Valley. Among the residents at this new, light-filled building will be 58 families and Veterans with very low incomes who are transitioning from homelessness.
