Donor appreciation spotlight: Mark and Leslie Ganz

Posted by | Brittney Manchester, Communications Director

We are fortunate to have extremely generous donors and volunteers who give their time, energy, support and resources to Catholic Charities. As part of our donor and volunteer appreciation campaign, we are recognizing individuals and organizations who share God’s love and help to spread light by partnering with Catholic Charities. Because of them, we are able to bring vital, lifesaving services to our neighbors in greatest need. Here’s Mark and Leslie Ganz’s story:

“The question of why we donate to Catholic Charities starts with why we donate at all. It tends to be things that capture our heart,” says Mark Ganz. His wife, Leslie, shares, “Not everyone is born into equal circumstances and those circumstances are out of their control. What I think Catholic Charities does is they receive people; they don’t try to rescue them.”

Mark and Leslie are long time donors and supporters of Catholic Charities of Oregon. Mark previously served on our Board of Directors, acting as Board Chair for two years, and both Mark and Leslie have served as co-chairs of our annual Celebration of Hope Gala.

Watch Mark and Leslie talk about why Catholic Charities of Oregon inspires them to give so generously.

Catholic Charities of Oregon is honored to have Mark and Leslie’s support. Mark and Leslie recognize that our agency takes time to learn the individual stories of the clients we serve and that we don’t give up on people. As Mark and Leslie point out in the video, when you receive people that is where true transformation can happen. Catholic Charities’ work to support thousands of individuals and families would not be possible without Mark and Leslie’s commitment to serving others.

Thank you, Mark and Leslie. You #Inspire Us.
