Catholic Sentinel: 'A Place to Heal'

Posted by | Raeann Boero, Communications Coordinator

The Annex, a homeless intervention project under our Healthy Housing Initiative, is going up fast! On February 18, Catholic Charities of Oregon celebrated with the Trubek Construction crew, Sister City, All Hands Architecture and other project partners with a topping out ceremony on 28 and Powell.

Now resting at the top of the structure is a magnolia tree that will ultimately join the landscaping below for residents to enjoy for years to come. The Annex is a unique affordable housing complex in many ways. For one, it sits right beside Catholic Charities of Oregon’s headquarters, The Clark Family Center. Residents of the Annex will be able to walk out their front door and have full access to Catholic Charities’ services right next door.

Construction is scheduled to complete this summer!
