Project Rachel

Project Rachel is a confidential ministry for anyone who desires healing after being impacted by abortion. This includes the mothers and fathers of children lost to abortion, grandparents and other relatives, health care providers, and many others. Abortion crosses all boundaries of religion, race, age and socio-economic position.

Project Rachel's mission is to provide a confidential and compassionate ministry that offers resources for spiritual, emotional, and psychological healing to anyone who has been impacted by abortion regardless of faith background. We strive to convey God's forgiveness and mercy in order to restore and empower lives.

Project Rachel Services Include:

Toll free phone number and e-mail access - to put people in touch with someone who understands, listens to their story and talks through any questions
Information regarding the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual impacts of abortion

Rachel's Vineyard Retreats
Four retreats are offered in Oregon each year. These retreats are a spiritual and psychological process facilitating grieving and reconciliation with God, yourself, your child(ren) and others. To read about the experience of other Retreat attendees, click here.

Referrals to specially trained counselors and professionals that can help sort through unresolved grief, guilt, anger, trauma, relationship difficulties, and other conflicts related to an abortion

Access to priests/clergy who are sensitive to each person's particular spiritual needs who will help you accept God's love, mercy, and forgiveness
Helpful materials and websites including brochures, posters, books, and public speaking engagements

...to bring healing and recovery to those hurt by abortion, and to facilitate the natural grieving process

...to present the truth of the impact and extensive damage abortion inflicts on the mother, father, extended family, and society by educating post-abortive women, men, Catholic parishes, pro-life groups, and the general public with this information in a consistent but gentle manner

...to build a strong, collaborative statewide network of healing resources which include: Rachel's Vineyard retreats, professionally trained counselors, trained priests/confessors, and other spiritual advisors, support groups, educational opportunities, etc.

Project Rachel is an official outreach of the Catholic Church and the American Catholic Bishops and is privileged in the name of the Church to compassionately serve all in need.
