We are lucky to have hundreds of volunteers who are generous with their time and skills, dedicated to serving clients of Catholic Charities. The volunteers featured below exemplify this selflessness.
Elaine Garrow (photo right), Friends of Catholic Charities Liaison to Housing Transitions Program; volunteer since 1995
Elaine Garrow is among the founding members of Friends of Catholic Charities, a group of volunteers dedicated to promoting and supporting the mission of work of Catholic Charities through "friend raising" and fundraising. "We started donating lunches and hosting events at Rose Heaven in the early 90's, and realized we could be doing so much more to help women who needed the basic staples of life," said Elaine. "Today Friends has 78 members and is involved in helping every program at Catholic Charities, although my passion still lies in helping homeless and underserved women." Click to continue reading.
